Harrattan first picked up a camera in his early teens and it wasn't until October 2011 when he fell deeper in love with photography. During a trip to Downtown Toronto for his Grade 11 Photography class, his teacher took him and his classmates to the Occupy Toronto protests being held at St. James park - his passion for capturing genuine emotion and moments only grew stronger since.

At Blue Aura, not only do we specialize in photography, but we also specialize in Videography and offer Photo Booth & Backdrop Rentals, as well as Balloon Garland Rentals for any event.
Our studio is based in Markham, ON. Yes, we do travel outside of Markham and our Travel Fees are as follows:

After we've discussed the details and you're happy working with our team, you can reserve your photo session via our booking page.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please reach out to us at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise your deposit will be forfeit.
All deposits are non-refundable, unless the cause of the cancellation constitutes a medical emergency.
We understand that not everyone can afford the luxury of photographs and one of the first questions we ask is regarding your budget. We do offer 15% off for first-time customers and try our best to work within our limits for our returning clients. Our approach to wedding photography is to capture your wedding day in a way that showcases your story and the essence of your love through our photographic and cinematic work.

We offer two Wedding Packages, which include the Full Day (Up to 10 Hours) and the Micro Wedding (Up to 5 Hours).

Our Full-day Wedding Package is priced at $5395 and our Engagement Package is priced at $595, the total being $5,990 altogether.
We will offer our Full-Day Wedding Package and Engagement Package as a combo for $5795. If you won't require a physical wedding album, the total for this combo will be $5,550.

We recommend reserving your booking for a Full-Day Wedding at least 12-18 months in advance, but occasionally have last minute availability and are happy to accommodate if possible.
A signed contract and non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking.
If you're looking to book a Micro Wedding (5 hours or less) for Friday, Saturday, Sunday during April to November, we recommend reserving your booking at least 3 months in advance.
If you're looking to book a Micro Wedding (5 hours or less) for Friday, Saturday, Sunday during December to March, we recommend reserving your booking at least 6 months in advance.
If you're looking to book a Micro Wedding (5 hours or less) for between Monday - Thursday any time of the year, we recommend reserving your booking at least 12 months in advance.

We sure can! Our Full-Day Wedding Package includes wedding albums made of premium leather and handcrafted by international vendors.
Wedding albums will be ready 2-4 months after you finalize which photos you want to be included.
An engagement session will help you prepare for and understand what to expect on your wedding day in regards to poses and shooting pace - engagement photos are also perfect for Save the Date cards, a guest book album, or even a slideshow for your wedding ceremony.

We can choose a place that is special to the both of you, such as the place where you first met, where you had your first kiss or anywhere else that is important to you two. We also have a list of various locations across the Greater Toronto Area to capture this beautiful memory leading up to your wedding!
Our Express Proposal Package includes a 1 hour pre-proposal meeting and a 1 hour engagement session on-location.
Our Engagement Package includes a 1 hour pre-engagement meeting and a 2 hour engagement session on-location.
The pre-session meetings can take place over telephone, videocall or in-person to discuss the details a few days prior to the proposal.
We love fall engagement shoots because of the crisp air, scenery and colors, but generally for any season we shoot during golden hour - early morning or late after noon (2-3 hours before sunset). We suggest booking your engagement session at least three months before your wedding.
Dress for the occasion! Business casual usually works, but you can switch your outfit up according to the location. At the end of the day, dress however you feel comfortable and coordinate your attire with your partner (match or don't match, it's okay!).
We usually start off with standard poses and treat the session as a conversation with both of you - getting to know your personalities and creating a fun and enjoyable environment; this is when the magic kicks in and we get to work with capturing your candid moments. Be prepared for lots of laughter!
Yes, all of our images are uploaded to a private password protected online gallery once edited. The gallery will be available for one month.
This is unique to each event, depending on the type of event and hours of coverage. For a single photographer event, you should expect to receive between 20-30 images per hour and 50-60 images per hour for a double photographer event.
For single photographer weddings, expect to receive 50-60 images per hour and 80-100 images per hour for a double photographer wedding.
For our Wedding Packages it will take between 4-6 weeks to process and finalize galleries/albums. For other all other packages, it will take between 2-3 weeks.
We do send sneak peaks 2-3 days after the session for our clients to enjoy while they wait.
If you require your images to be processed earlier than expected, there is a standard rush processing fee of $150 for all packages excluding weddings.

We carry and switch between three top of the line Canon camera bodies and lenses for our shoots and use them as required to capture your moments.
